Munich Sightseeing Route Collection
This post is not meant to represent one locked final navigation line. It is a route-library collection built around the Komoot Munich cycling guide, meant to serve as a broader entry point for sightseeing-oriented rides in and around Munich.
What this post is for
It works best as a discovery post on the routes page: a place to start if you want a city ride, an Isar-side spin, or a relaxed suburban loop without choosing one exact route upfront.
Why “sightseeing route collection” fits
- The guide covers classic Munich and near-suburban riding ideas rather than one race-style line
- The name is easier to understand for new members browsing the routes page
- It leaves room for multiple future route spin-offs
- It reads like stable library content instead of a temporary event draft
Surface and ride feel
Expect a mixed route environment with a majority of rideable paved sections plus selected compact gravel, riverside, or park-path sections. In club terms, it leans more toward sightseeing and relaxed weekend riding than technical gravel.
Club use note
The current external link is a Komoot guide collection rather than one exact route file. That works well for a route-library overview. If ACC later wants to turn one option into a dedicated route post or an event, it should attach one final Komoot, Strava, or GPX link for the exact navigation version.
